{Spring Cleaning} Earth Day Style

1/4 Cup Vinegar
1/2 Teaspoon Liquid Soap (I use Dr Bronner's Castile Soap)
2 Cups Water
1/4 Teaspoon Lemon EO (This works as an antibacterial, anti fungal, and a antimicrobial)

Just mix all the ingredients together in a spray bottle. I suggest shaking the bottle before using. Use a lint free rag or newspaper to clean with.

Bath and Shower Scrub:

1 Cup Baking Soda
1/4 tsp your choice of mixed EO (Eucalyptus, Peppermint, citrus and/or Tea Tree)

Mix everything and store in a covered glass jar (I use a mason jar). Use a wet sponge/cloth to clean.

All-Purpose Cleanser:

1 Cup Distilled Water

1/2 Cup Vinegar

1/2 Teaspoon Liquid Soap (optional)

1/4 tsp your choice of mixed EO (Eucalyptus, Peppermint, citrus and/or Tea Tree)

Mix ingredients in a spray bottle. Shake before use.

Floor Cleaner

1 Gallon Hot Water

2 Tablespoons Liquid Castile Soap

1/4 tsp. your choice of mixed EO (Eucalyptus, Peppermint, citrus and/or Tea Tree)

Blend all ingredients in bucket. Mop floor as usual.

Carpet Deodorizer

16 oz Baking soda

1/2 tsp your choice of mixed EO (Eucalyptus, Peppermint, citrus and/or Tea Tree)

Mix well and store in covered glass jar. Sprinkle the deodorizer onto your carpet by hand or with a sugar shaker.Wait 10-20 minutes and then vacuum normally.

For all of my cleaners I use reusable spray bottles (either old cleaner bottles or a spray bottle from the $1 store) or glass mason jars. Not only are you using greener cleaners for your home but you will also be reusing the containers, decreasing waste.

There are the basics, the day to day cleaning products to use in your home. If you have any questions or would like help for a specific cleaning issue (I have many more recipes and green cleaning tips) please let me know!
