The Secret Life of Bees

by Sue Monk Kidd

One of my favorite books, loved it so much I sought it out in hardback after reading a friend's much borrowed paperback. Highly recommend.

Water for Elephants

I liked this book at the time I read it but not enough to recommend it particularly.

A Thousand Splendid Suns

by Khaled Hosseini

I am glad I read this book though the subject is a painful one. I read it because I so enjoyed The Kite Runner. This in no way compared to that book for me.

Little Women

by Louisa May Alcott

Read as a young girl several times. Loved it then, wonder if I would still now.

The Memory Keeper's Daughter

by Kim Edwards

Read as part of a book club. Didn't think it was particularly good.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

by Mary Ann Shaffer

Currently my all time favorite book. If you haven't read it, you must. Loved all the characters, learned much about World War II civilian life and will be buying this in hardbound edition at Half Price Bookstore as soon as I see it.
